اِس کائنات میں اربوں کھربوں کی تعداد میں پھیلی مخلوقات میں سے سب سے زیادہ اہمیت والی مخلوق انسان ہے، جسے اشرف المخلوقات کہا جاتا ہے، اور اُس کے اہم ہونے کی وجہ سے اُس کو اپنی زندگی گزارنے کے لیے بھی اہم مقصد دیا گیا کہ تمہاری تخلیق کا مقصد ربّ کریم کی عبادت ہے۔ اس مقصد کو حاصل کیسے کرنا ہے؟ یہ سکھانے کے لئے ایک ایسی کتاب دی گئی جو انسانوں کی ہر قدم پر اُس کی رہنمائی کرتی ہے۔
اللہ تعالیٰ کو اپنا کلام محبوب ہے، بِلا سمجھے پڑھا جائے تو بھی موجبِ تقرّب ہے، پھر سمجھ کر پڑھا جائے گا تو کتنا قرب دلائےگا؟ ’’حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعودؓ فرماتے ہیں کہ اِس قرآن کو اپنے اوپر لازم سمجھو، کیونکہ یہ اللہ کا دسترخوان ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ کے اِس دسترخوان سے ہر ایک کو ضرور فائدہ اٹھانا چاہئے، اور علم تو سیکھنے ہی سے حاصل ہوتا ہے۔‘‘ اسلئے قرآن کو ترجمہ کے ساتھ پڑھیں اور معتبر علماء سے اس کی تفسیر سمجھیں۔
اِس قرآن کریم میں دو قسم کے درجمے پیش کئے گئے ہیں:
۱۔ سیکھنے سکھانے کی غرض سے لفظ بہ لفظ ترجمہ، الفاظِ قرآنی کے نیچے لکھا گیا ہے۔
۲۔ پوری سطر کا سادہ اور آسان ترجمہ، لفظ بہ لفظ ترجمے کے نیچے کی سطر میں لکھا گیا ہے۔

Is kainaat mein arbon kharbon ki tadaad mein phaili makhlooqaat mein se sab se zyada ahmiyat wali makhlooq insaan hai, jise Ashraful Makhlooqaat kaha jaata hai. Aur uske aham hone ki wajah se usko apni zindagi guzaarne ke liye bhi ek aham maqsad diya gaya ke tumhari takhleeq ka maqsad Rabb-e-Kareem ki ibaadat hai. Is maqsad ko haasil kaise karna hai? Yeh sikhaane ke liye ek aisi kitaab di gayi jo insaan ki har qadam par rehnumaai karti hai.

Allah Ta’ala ko apna Kalaam mehboob hai. Baghair samjhe padha jaaye to bhi mojib-e-taqarrub hai, phir samajh kar padha jaayega to kitna qurb dilayega? Hazrat Abdullah bin Masoodؓ farmate hain: “Is Qur’an ko apne upar laazim samjho, kyunki yeh Allah ka dastarkhwan hai. Allah Ta’ala ke is dastarkhwan se har ek ko zaroor faayda uthaana chahiye, aur ilm to seekhne hi se haasil hota hai.” Isliye Qur’an ko tarjume ke saath padhein aur mo‘tabar Ulama se iski tafseer samjhein.

Is Qur’an-e-Kareem mein do qism ke taraajim pesh kiye gaye hain:

1. Seekhne-sikhaane ki gharz se lafz ba lafz tarjuma, alfaaz-e-Qur’ani ke neeche likha gaya hai.

2. Poori satar ka saada aur aasaan tarjuma, lafz-ba-lafz tarjume ke neeche wali satar mein likha gaya hai.

Among the billions and trillions of creatures spread throughout this universe, the human being is the most significant creation, and is therefore called Ashraful Makhlooqaat — the noblest of all creation. Because of this distinction, mankind has also been given an important purpose for life: the purpose of your creation is to worship your Lord, the Most Merciful. But how is this purpose to be fulfilled? To teach mankind how to achieve this purpose, a Book was given that guides a person at every step of life.

Allah Almighty loves His Divine Word. Even reciting it without understanding is a means of drawing closer to Him; then how much more closeness will it bring when it is read with understanding? Hazrat Abdullah ibn Mas‘udؓ said: “Hold firmly to this Qur’an, for it is the banquet of Allah. Everyone should certainly benefit from the banquet of Allah, and knowledge can only be acquired through learning.” Therefore, read the Qur’an along with its translation and learn its Tafseer from reliable scholars.

In this Qur’an Kareem, two types of translations have been provided:

1. For the purpose of learning and teaching, a word for word translation has been written beneath the Qur’anic words.

2. A simple and easy translation of the complete line has been written on the line below the word-for-word translation.
